WEBCON DAY 2024

10 years of inspiration, knowledge, and innovation

This year’s WEBCON DAY brought together digital transformation experts to discuss how to manage change in a fast-evolving business environment, address the growing demands of businesses, and foster a culture of openness and innovation. For a decade, this conference has served as a gathering place for hundreds of IT leaders and innovators, eager to exchange ideas and share knowledge that has a real impact on business. This year, over 500 attendees filled the audience.

The third decade of digital transformation

The conference was inaugurated by Radosław Putek, CEO of WEBCON. In his session, he he provided a summary of key events from the company’s recent history – including the MCI Capital investment, expansion into international markets, and receiving ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certifications, which validate the quality and security of WEBCON’s products and services.
The CEO also reflected on the first editions of the conference and the idea that has guided its organization from the start – to create a space for knowledge exchange and mutual inspiration for those responsible for digital transformation in companies. Leaders of digital change from companies that WEBCON has been supporting in their development for over a decade were invited to the stage. The long-standing collaboration and trust were celebrated with the presentation of special awards.
Łukasz Wróbel, CBDO and Vice President of WEBCON, discussed the importance of collaboration. During his keynote session, he emphasized that for a company with nearly twenty years of experience in developing a business process automation platform, strong relationships with over a thousand clients and partners worldwide are a crucial source of insight into business challenges. These relationships also play a key role in shaping the product development vision.
He shared this vision by presenting the roadmap for upcoming changes. Conference attendees got an exclusive preview of new features and the completely redesigned look of the latest version of the platform – WEBCON BPS 2025.

WEBCON MVPs

Success is pretty much always the product of collaboration. We are incredibly proud of the remarkable community we’ve built around the WEBCON BPS platform. A tradition of WEBCON DAY has been the awarding of trophies to the most active members of this international community. The WEBCON MVP title is a prestigious distinction for those who regularly share product knowledge, create inspiring materials on the practical use of low-code technology, and support other users of the WEBCON BPS platform.
This year, the WEBCON MVPs 2024 award went to: Daniel Krüger, Raluca Lupu, Paweł Przychodzeń, Cezary Rzucidło, Björn Poller, Jacek Wojnar, Maksymilian Stachowiak, and Karol Częczek. Congratulations to the winners!

Digitization in action: case study sessions on the main stage

WEBCON clients often highlight that the platform can address nearly every business challenge. Over the 10 years of WEBCON DAY, the event has showcased numerous success stories of applications that help companies streamline their daily operations in core areas, as well as in processes unique to specific industries. This year’s anniversary edition was no exception.
The session dedicated to WEBCON case studies began with a presentation by representatives from InPost – one of the most recognized and fastest-growing logistics companies in Poland. During the session, Paulina Musiał, Head of the Financial Systems/Products Department, and Magda Waśkowicz, Business Analyst, shared how the WEBCON BPS platform drives innovation in managing internal processes. Participants had the opportunity to explore an application that supports the process of verifying business partners, ensuring the legal and financial security of the organization.
Then Błażej Krawczyk, BPM/RPA Application Lead, and Karolina Wanat, Application Engineer at Answear.com – the first Polish multi-brand online store operating across 12 European markets – shared insights into a revolution in HR area. Conference attendees were introduced to a comprehensive ecosystem of dozens of applications integrated with the HR system, which saves hundreds of work hours in document preparation, especially within recruitment processes.
In the next case study session, Fraikin Polska’s CFO, Krzysztof Brzeziński, took the stage to showcase the journey of the company – from deploying off-the-shelf IT solutions addressing individual business processes to adopting a unified application platform. The company has automated the management of thousands of leasing documents, created a depreciation calculator, and significantly simplified audit processes. As a result, the leader in long-term rental of specialized vehicles has enhanced its financial planning efficiency, resulting in tangible operational savings.
As the last speaker, Mariusz Sobociński, CIO at Nowy Styl, discussed how this global leader in the furniture industry has been developing scalable, secure IT architecture for over a decade based on a single process automation platform. He presented three applications that support product information management, optimize production capacity usage, and aid in production organization (MES).

The evolution of business application delivery: discussion panels

This year, we also invited experienced IT professionals and business leaders to join in our discussion panels.
In the first panel, moderated by Michał Rykiert, Chief Evangelist EMEA at WEBCON, Dominik Cholewiński, Senior Application Specialist at Südzucker Polska, Michał Łunkiewicz, Business Value Services Director at Silky Coders, and Sebastian Pieronkiewicz, IT Application Development Section Manager at TAURON, discussed why and how the mindset around implementing new technologies in organizations is changing. As they pointed out, ‘You don’t say no to business.’ When IT addresses business needs with the right applications, it transforms into a strategic partner, driving digital transformation at full speed.
Then, Agata Skowrońska-Domańska from Archicom Group and Krzysztof Brzeziński from Fraikin Polska discussed how not all ROI indicators for digital investments are measurable. For instance, it’s difficult to quantify employee engagement, yet it remains one of the most crucial factors in company performance. They also emphasized that behind every change, there’s an element of fear, and it is effective management of this fear that opens the door to remarkable achievements. The panel was moderated by Łukasz Wróbel, CBDO and Vice President of WEBCON.

Technical workshops for practitioners

While main stage sessions were underway, attendees could also join intensive technical workshops. WEBCON experts from three key areas – Consulting, Implementation, and Development – shared their knowledge on developing business applications, covering topics such as designing user interfaces, managing external users, utilizing advanced analytics, and exploring new capabilities on mobile devices. The sessions provided not only theoretical insights but also practical skills that attendees can apply in their daily work on the WEBCON BPS platform.

Many opportunities for networking

Every year, WEBCON DAY gathers both seasoned IT professionals and newcomers just starting their journey in digital transformation process. The opportunity to exchange experiences and the remarkable openness in sharing product knowledge were among the most appreciated aspects of this year’s conference. Alongside informal conversations, the Expert Zone was also a highlight, attracting great interest. Here, everyone had the opportunity to speak with WEBCON specialists, gain first-hand insights, and discuss their ideas and challenges.
After the inspiring official program, participants headed to Stara Zajezdnia for a closing gala dinner.
We thank all the guests of this year’s edition for their participation, inspiring presentations, and conversations. We are especially grateful to those who shaped and drove the development of the WEBCON BPS platform. Thanks to the creativity and initiative of each of you, we have so many stories to tell year after year. See you next year, with a fresh dose of ideas and inspiration!

ECR Management

An engineering change request (ECR) to alter a product design can be triggered by various sources: audits, enhancement ideas, customer complaints, etc. A fix to a product design can be issued by any employee and the ultimate goal is quality improvement, which can directly influence revenue. By automating the Engineering Change Management (ECM) process, you can bring better products to market faster. Forget missing deadlines, loosing documents, flawed decision-making due to poor visibility of the process, duplicating change requests. Instead, with a dedicated application, gain an overview of the changes that are underway, boost productivity, lower the process costs, eliminate bottlenecks and gather all information related to the ECRs in one place.
