Konica Minolta joins WEBCON’s Partner network

Konica Minolta, one of world’s top IT solution providers for business, has become a WEBCON partner. WEBCON BPS is now in their portfolio of offered solutions for the digitalization and automation of business processes.

Konica Minolta is a leading provider of office and production equipment, but also a global provider of complex IT solutions and services that optimize business processes related to document management. Currently, Konica Minolta has 2 million customers worldwide, including 200,000 in Europe.

The ECM Portal by Konica Minolta, built on the WEBCON BPS platform using Microsoft SharePoint, supports the day-to-day processing of documents. It ensures confidentiality and cuts down on business process managing time. This translates directly to an increased competitive edge.

At the very beginning of their partnership with WEBCON, Konica Minolta implemented the solution for two customers. One of them is ZEC Starachowice, a local producer, provider and distributor of network heat in the Swietokrzyskie voivodeship. The company’s goal was to make their employees’ daily document-related tasks easier, and to minimize time spent on finding documents and organizing them.

The solutions introduced by WEBCON’s new Partner automate processes related to outgoing and incoming correspondence, invoices, requests for connecting to the transmission network, as well as orders. WEBCON BPS has allowed for the effective management of these processes, and their optimization in the long run.

The second Konica Minolta and WEBCON project was carried out at Multiconsult, a design and consulting service provider in the energy, transport, construction and industry sectors (including the oil and gas sector). Multiconsult uses the ECM Portal system, extended by an invoice workflow based on the WEBCON BPS engine.

For WEBCON, Konica Minolta is a very valuable Partner, and not only due to its brand awareness. First and foremost, we appreciate the company for the comprehensiveness of their offered business process management solutions. Konica Minolta’s degree of involvement as Partner is also praiseworthy. The company launched implementation projects at their clients’ in the very first weeks of their collaboration with WEBCON.

ECR Management

An engineering change request (ECR) to alter a product design can be triggered by various sources: audits, enhancement ideas, customer complaints, etc. A fix to a product design can be issued by any employee and the ultimate goal is quality improvement, which can directly influence revenue. By automating the Engineering Change Management (ECM) process, you can bring better products to market faster. Forget missing deadlines, loosing documents, flawed decision-making due to poor visibility of the process, duplicating change requests. Instead, with a dedicated application, gain an overview of the changes that are underway, boost productivity, lower the process costs, eliminate bottlenecks and gather all information related to the ECRs in one place.

New Product Development

A well-managed product lifecycle process allows to bring better products to market faster. With WEBCON BPS, you can provide an enterprise-wide solution that will streamline product development process, improve collaboration between departments, and provide seamless access to all product-related data. From submitting an idea, through research, creating a prototype, testing, designing the packaging, up to manufacturing, introducing the product to the market, and analyzing the feedback – a dedicated application will make sure everyone involved is well-informed on the assigned tasks, and the management gains visibility to improve productivity, and spot any bottlenecks along the way.
