WEBCON DAY 2019 is oficially behind us! During the largest conference about business process automation in practice in the region, we hosted 450 experts from all around Europe to exchange knowledge and talk about the future of business in the digital era.

WEBCON DAY is an annual event, dedicated to process automation practitioners responsible for leading companies through digital transformation with the support of IT solutions. Every year we discuss emerging technological trends, exchange knowledge about process management and optimization, as well as get a chance to hear insightful case studies by our Clients, who share their experiences of growing business with workflow automation.

This year we had on our stage experts from Bioton, ROHLIG SUUS Logistics, Südzucker and Warbud.

When it comes to Warbud and WEBCON BPS, it was an arranged marriage. In 2014 Warbud was undergoing a major change – we were implementing ERP Dynamics AX 2012 and we were looking for a tool that would give us a possibility to digitalize and automate the flow of invoices – something of a huge significance for us. XPLUS (WEBCON’s Partner) adviced that the best solution would be WEBCON BPS and we said ‘Fine’ – and this is how it was said Rafał Gliński, Head of ERP Development & Maintenance at Warbud, during his case study session "Appetite comes with implementing ". By now, we have developed a huge number of applications, and we’ve put an extra effort to create a single, coherent and well thought-through, IT ecosystem, in order to ensure the most added value for our employees, instead of just addressing single business needs separately.

Digitalization is not an end in its own right. It’s not only about changing from paper to digital, it’s also about optimization. First, we would ask "Do we need this process in our company at all?" if the answer was Yes, the next one would be "Does this process correspond with the needs and strategy of the organization?" and "How do we simplify it?" said Adam Hatak, Head of IT at BIOTON, during his session.

Platform’s new functionalities, that are about to be introduced in the upcoming WEBCON BPS 2020 version, will aim to further simplify the process of designing complex business applications, and boost user experience. Wrobel also broke the news about WEBCON BPS becoming available in the SaaS model in the fall of 2019!

During the opening Keynote, Lukasz Wrobel, CBDO & VP at WEBCON, talked about the leading technology trends, IT industry forecast, and WEBCON’s further development plans that aim to answer upcoming market changes and disruptions.

According to research, by 2024, low-code application development will be responsible for more than 65% of application development activity. Our goal is to be the best low-code platform for business process automation on the market, and empower companies to be  future-ready and seamlessly navigate through digital transformation said Lukasz Wrobel.

During this year’s WEBCON DAY we also hosted our first WEBCON Superhero Awards – an award gala to honor the incredibly inspiring and effective leaders from our Clients’ organizations, who’s vision and passion resulted in a successful and truly exemplary execution of the digital transformation strategy in their companies.

Once again we congratulate them for winning in the following categories:

  • Digital Transformation Leader - Ewa Makowska-Tłomak, SG Equipment Leasing Polska
  • WEBCON BPS Visionary – Marcin Grotowski, NoLimit
  • IT Initiative – Łukasz Siwonia, Vistula
  • Agility in Business Application Delivery – Adam Hatak, Bioton
  • Best Industry Application: Scoring System (Finance sector) - Tomasz Kszczot, Siemens Finance

The conference finished with an insightful session by Aleksandra Kudera, Head of Deployment at WEBCON, where she talked about different areas of the organization, that could be enhanced with process automation, and could greatly benefit from introducing business applications.

The second day of the event was all about advanced workshops. It began with a Keynote on the new functionalities in WEBCON BPS 2020 – the upcoming release of our platform. Next, we hosted 12 in-depth workshops, attended by 300 participants. During these sessions, WEBCON’s experts covered such topics as: how to plan the integration with external systems, application lifecycle management, and WEBCON BPS in B2B scenarios.

Conference attendees were also able to visit an Expert Zone, where they could meet with WEBCON’s specialists, and ask them platform-related questions.

We want to especially thank our Clients and Partners who have been with us for years now, and warmly welcome in our community all who are about to start their adventure with WEBCON BPS - it was a pleasure to see you, and exchange thoughts and ideas that continue to inspire us when developing our platform. We hope you enjoyed the conference, and left with both ideas and practical knowledge that will bear fruit in new ground-breaking projects. We’d love to hear about them next year at WEBCON DAY 2020!
